Yup. I will be heading to Las Vegas, January 17-21. Its never been on my top of places I would like to visit but hey if I have the opportunity to go, why not? I can assure you I will love every minute of it though! :) and I will be learning quite a bit from some top Redken educators. I cant wait!!

until then I will be saving a bunch of money and getting pointers from my dad and uncle to try my luck at the gambling situation. worth a shot right?

proud of my workplace :)

I am so blessed to work in the salon I do. The people I work with are amazing, the space we work in is incredible, the guests we have are the best.
Over this year, we have received award after award that we are so humbled by and excited about! BLO received a Global Salon business award this June in Hollywood out of 3,000 salons and 22 countries. We were also named in Salon Today as a top 200 salon for the third year in a row. And today we were honored to recieve "Redken Elite Salon of the Year" by Redken representatives who came to the salon this morning. exciting!

I am so proud to say I am a part of BLO's success! I never imagined I would work in a place where my boss was so interested in the success of the business and of each employee working toward that success. I am looking forward to whats ahead for us at BLO- but until then we will be proud of what we have accomplished thus far!
congrats to all my co-workers! :)

"be strong, be brave, but most of all, believe."

http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi547488025/

I forgot how much I loved this movie. Its hilarious but also has such a good message behind it. It opens your eyes and shows you if you really want something, you can get it. It also reminds you, everyone has been through some kind of hurt, its up to you whether you carry that with you and block out the things that could bring so much happiness to your life, or whether you decide to let it go and be strong enough to get past whatever it is and let that joy back into your life.--but you cant do any of it without God.
great movie.

2 of my favorite quotes from the film:
"I love you.
How do you know?
I carry you in my spirit, I pray for you more than I pray for myself. And if you are away for more than an hour, I cant stop thinking about you! And your smile, when you smile, my world is alright."

"I know you don't believe in fairy tales. But, if you did, I'd want to be your knight in shining armor. You've been through so much. I don't want to see you hurt anymore. Now I may not be able to give you all that your used to. But I do know I can love you past your pain. I don't want you to worry about anything. You just wake up in the morning, that's all you have to do and I'll take it from there. There's one condition. You have to be my wife."
---man, I can't wait for the day someone feels for me even half of what is expressed right here.

on a lighter note, this is my other favorite quote:
"I aint scared of no po-po, call the po-po hoe!, CALL the po-po hoe!!

craving.

So if you are ever in NYC or California, Im gonna need for you to try Pinkberry, the best frozen yogurt in the world. You can add any topping you would like (even cereal!), but I recommend, blueberries and coconut. :)

The one in NYC is in Soho, and in California, I believe its on Hollywood blvd. You wont regret it, I can assure you of that.

anyone wanna email the Pinkberry people with me like 800 times telling them we want one in NC and see if it works?
its worth a shot right?

Be Patient.

Patience is a key to joy.

That was my fortune the other night in my fortune cookie. Very fitting for me I would say because I am not a very patient person. I am learning though and that in and of itself takes patience. ha Soon enough that joy will come that I will have been so patiently waiting for. I hope.

"Patience will achieve more than force."

"Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content."

"Everything comes gradually and at its appointed hour."
