Christmas seems to come up on me so fast and then in the blink of an eye its gone!!!
This Christmas was great! Minus the fact that Sissy, Josh, Carter and Coleman weren't here.
The festivities started the week before Christmas, Shane's moms side of the family had a get together with lots of yummy food and a game of dirty Santa which is always a good time! I ended up with travel coffee mugs!
The next festivity was Shane's dads side of the family! Which again involved lots of delicious food and Dirty Santa! This time I ended up with 2 NC. State tervis tumblers! (thanks Laurie hehe) there was a little more drama with this dirty santa, more stealing, which makes it fun!! :)
Then onto Christmas eve! I got off work at 3 and went straight to mom and dads! Its kind of tradition since I have moved out to spend the night with mom and dad on Christmas eve and thanksgiving! I enjoy it! Shane and his parents came over and bubby and tracey and bri. We had a bunch of snacky foods- stuffed mushrooms, sausage balls, 7 layer dip, velveeta/rotel dip, and yummy pastry desserts! We definitely had plenty to eat!! After eating it was off to Christmas eve service at church! Which I always enjoy, it is a tradition in our family to go to it! After church it was back home to hang out for a bit. Dad and I were watching tv and I fell asleep at 1030...way early! So I went up to bed so Santa could come visit! ;)
Christmas day I woke up and went into mom and dads room and woke them up! We did stockings together and then got ready for the day. Dad cooked some yummy breakfast sandwiches and then bubby and tracy came over. We watched Miracle on 34th Street then opened presents! For lunch we had lasagna-yummmmy!
After lunch I headed over to Shane's parents house for more presents!! They are so generous! We had a good time hanging out, chatting, opening presents, and WAITING FOR THE SNOW TO FALL!!! haha every 10 min or so we would open the door to see if anymore was falling! Because we knew it was going to be a big snow fall, Shane and I planned on staying out at Justin and Laurie's! And good thing we did, we got about 8 inches of snow and it was a blast playing outside in it, sledding behind the 4-wheelers, throwing snowballs, making snowmen! It was all around a great time!! First white Christmas since 1947--so cool!
So in all Christmas was awesome!! I am very blessed and I owe it all to my Savior!

wow..been a while.
my oh my. It has been FOREVER since I last posted on this blog. 2 seasons ago to be exact!
SO much has happend since that last post! Where shall I begin?
Since the last time, I moved into an apartment with my best friend, Jamie! Which let me tell you has been such a blessing! I have had some not so great luck with roommates in the past and Jamie and I get along so well and just enjoy each others company! *oh we also share each others clothes ALL the time which is GREAT! ;) *
I am still working at La Therapie Spa @ Preston! I really enjoy it there! I am staying busy which is awesome! And honestly is such another blessing- especially in this economy!!
Around the time I moved into my new apartment, I got a new car! Which yet again, is a blessing!! I was having a lot of problems with my old car and it needed a lot of work that I wasn't willing to put into a car that was 11 years old! It was actually not easy finding a car. I am quite picky I discovered and there was not a lot I liked that was in my price range! But thankfully I finally found the perfect car for me and the couple was very flexible with what I needed to spend and on the few things that needed to be done to the car!
Shane and I are doing great! We have so much fun together! We have been together for a year and 8 months! whoa- thats a long time! And I am totally ok with it! :) We look forward to many more memories together!! xoxo
My nephews are 8 months old!!!!! OMG! they are growing like weeds!!!!! I miss them SO much! I went to Vegas in November, right before Thanksgiving, to see them and stef and josh. I had such a great time spoiling those little guys rotten!!!! I even enjoyed getting up early in the morning with them and playing so that sissy could sleep!!! I figure, she does it all the time, I never get to see them, so I was ok being a little tired for a couple days!!! Its so hard not being with those little guys and sissy all the time. But I know that hopefully in time they will be back this way and I will be able to watch them grow and teach them new things and just spoil them rotten like aunts are supposed to do! ;)
So as you can see, life is GREAT, I am blessed beyond words, I serve an amazing God, what more could I ask for?!
and really...I am going to try and blog more...not everyday cause I know that wont happen but at least when something fun or important comes up that I want/ need to talk about! :)

first weekend at the lake!
SO its definitely summer time! The weather is constantly changing from super sunny to thunderstorms in the evening and VERY hot! Oh how I love North Carolina! :)
This past weekend was memorial day weekend. Shane and I went to his parents place at Kerr lake. We left Saturday after I got off work and were there until Monday afternoon! The weather could not have been any more beautiful! Shane and I woke up around 8 and went for a bike ride through the plantation trails. It was nice and cool out still, so it was an enjoyable ride until my bike started messing up and wouldn't go in any other gear but 1st. :( Then went on the boat, just cruising around, soaking in all the rays we could! Two of Shane's friends came and met us, so we went in for lunch and then we all went back out on the boat! What a good time we had! When we all decided we had had enough, we went in and got ready for our steak dinner! yum yum! Although I didn't feel too well, every time after I get a lot of sun, my stomach hurts for some reason. So I didn't eat too much but it was still yummy! On Monday we got up and some of Shane's parents friends came up to spend the day with us too. Back out on the boat we went, and their friends had a jet ski! Shane is not a huge fan of jet skis but he knows I am so he asked if we could ride it! (hes so thoughtful!) So we were riding around having a grand ole time, going super fast, making crazy turns, and I just kept thinking to myself, we are SO gonna fall off this thing. Next thing I knew, we were in the water in the middle of the lake!! Talk about me freaking out!! haha I don't like not knowing what is underneath me!!!! But we safely returned to the seat of the jet ski, where we belonged! haha We came in for lunch and got word there was about to be a bad storm, so we got the boat and the jet ski out of the water, waited around for a bit...and the storm broke up before it even got to us on the lake!!!! So we could have still been out on the water but its ok. No one needed more sun and it was nice to just relax and not be on the go!
Overall, it was a good weekend. I love going to the lake, its such a blast! So I cant wait for more weekend trips this summer!

the best nephews EVER! :)
So, my sissy had twin baby boys on Easter Sunday, which was SUCH a blessing for our family! Especially after being told she was most likely not able to have children! Coleman and Carter are such sweet boys! I spent a week with them when they were only one week old and it was the best time ever! I love babies in general but when they are my nephews, oh man, its awesome, it just makes every little thing 10x more special!!
Having sissy, josh and the boys living in Las Vegas has been tough! We don't get to spend one on one time with the boys like we would if they lived here, so what we have done is gotten Skype. We can talk and see the boys whenever we want, for free! I try and at least say hey to them everyday, even if it is only for a couple minutes! I want them to know my voice and know who I am so I wont be a "stranger" when I do get to see them again in person, and as they grow up! Its so funny to me how all of my friends have nephews and nieces and they have told me stories about how cool it is and I always thought, "oh yea that will be cool." Well you never realize how special things are until you are in the situation and they are YOUR nephews!! People tell me all the time, "You are a really proud aunt!!" And I say, "yes, yes I am!!" Why would I not be??? I get to (eventually) help take care and teach and mold these precious boys into the men they will become one day and that is SO exciting!!!! I cant even imagine how proud of a parent I will be one day! haha

been awhile!!
SO Sorry!
I have not blogged in FOREVER! mom informed me of this yesterday. Although I knew it, I just haven't been motivated to do it. I'm going to try and keep it going as of now though!
As far as this post goes, I don't have much to say. Its a lazy Monday off work. So thats what I am doing, being lazy! :) Will post more later!

crazies EVERYWHERE!!!
(I don't know who, if anyone reads this, but I hope even if only one person reads this and gets something out of it, I will have done what I am called to do.)
oh my gosh.
I do not know what this world is coming to, mainly this country right now, but believe me I'm not giving any other part of this world credit for being sane. We have people in the senate passing bills that are going to make our country a socialist one before its over, I have people in my life making things ridiculous to the point I have to write out a statement saying that something was done because who knows what kind of craziness they will pull!!! What happened to the honest people?? I really want to know because this scares me!
Sin is such a powerful thing! To think the world, a world that was originally free from sin, has come to this from the serpent (satan---ps: spell check is telling me that satan is spelled wrong because it is not capitalized---what I have to say to that is, satan does not deserve to have his name capitalized!!!! he is a snake, a devil, a demon---that deserves NOTHING!) tempting Eve in the garden and it's just escalated.
Anyone who is not scared about these times, either has the faith of a mustard seed( the faith we are all supposed to strive to have) or is walking with the serpent himself. But I feel like even if you do have faith, because I do, it is normal to be scared. Scared for the future of this world (my kids whenever I have them, my nephews that will be coming into this world soon, anyones kids today, me and my family), scared of what our "leaders" are going to do next, scared of what lies the serpent is going to get people to believe.
Praying is all we can do people. pray. HARD!

happy birthday to me! :)
its my birthdayyyyy! hahahaha Im sure everyone is sick and tired of hearing about my birthday, but quite frankly, I dont care!:) It only comes once a year, you can get over it! hahahaha my thing is, why wouldnt everyone be so excited about their birthday?? Its a remembrance of the day God brought you into this world, gave you life and is now blessing you with another year! hello!?!? Its an amazing thing if you ask me!
But anyways, some good things have been happening in my life! I got approved for my apartment, now Im just waiting for them to have one available for me by may 1st (pray for it!) Daddy had a good birthday and a successful back surgery! Sissy is still carrying my two little nephews which is GREAT--although I really cant wait for them to get here!!! I want to spoil them rotten, since I'm gonna be their favorite aunt, thats my job right?!?! :)
I'm just ready for Summer to get here! we have been having some really nice weather this week and its soo exciting! Im ready for warm weather, sunshine, the lake, the pool, the boat, a tan, and just good times! it really is my favorite time of the year!
Ok well enough of this, time for me to go enjoy my day! :)

exciting months to come!
Man there are so many exciting things coming within the next few months! In a week it will be my daddys birthday(feb 16)- please continue praying for him with his back issues, he talks to the surgeon tomorrow! After daddys birthday will be my birthday!!--(march 11) for all those wondering when it is! hehe Then sissys birthday (april 6) Then shanes birthday(April 29) Then I get to moooooove to a place all of my own! (may 1st) Dont have it picked out yet, but boy have I been doing some looking! Im excited and totally ready! Oh and in between all of these events happening I will be getting 2 little adorable nephews!!!! Not sure exactly when, but we are surely anticipating their arrivals....although we would like them to stay in mommys tummy cooking as long as they can! :) Boy will it be cool to see those two little miracles when the day comes!! Im not gonna lie, Im excited for them to come for a selfish reason as well...I get to be off work for a week and in Las Vegas with the fam!!!! haha (but dont tell my boss im that excited!)

Shane and I went to the rodeo last night with some friends and had a great time being rednecks for the evening! :) Boy do I love stuff like that! Then today Shane and I just hung out, went looking for apts for me and just enjoyed spending the day together, it was a beautiful day! (a little chilly though haha) and that reminded us how much we can not wait for warm, summer, lake weather!!! :)
Life is good and Im excited for what all will be happening over the next few months! I will try and keep everyone posted on how God is blessing me, everyday! :)

long time no see.
Well...
It has been quite a while since I updated. Not like many of you follow my blog anyways. Life has been great though. LOTS of changes. I'm going to try and make it a point to update my blog everyday- or whenever something needs to be shared from now on. and maybe I can get more people to start reading it! :)
